Mylan Summit 2014 Reflections-Part I

What an inspiring trip to Mylan Specialty I had this past weekend!  I was ever so humbled to be included in a boardroom filled to the brim with absolutely amazing, respectable women and food allergy bloggers.  Thank you to Mylan for inviting me to this outstanding meeting where we, as bloggers, could come together and do our best to change the food allergy world for the better.

Mylan’s motto is Seeing is Believing.  This is what I saw and this is what I believe….

Food allergy moms are strong.  Very strong.

Food allergy moms are vulnerable and our heart is entangled in our work as bloggers.

Food allergies stress us out, but advocacy and friendship give us hope and bring us together.

Food allergy moms want to spread the word about how important it is to carry and use an Epi-pen.

Food allergies are steadily on the rise, and we’re hoping for a cure.

We are…..

If those of us that sat around the boardroom table could stand up, join hands, make a rope Red Rover style, and cross this country, I think we could make some huge waves in the food allergy community.  That’s exactly what we’re going to strive to do…one blog post at a time.  One support group meeting at a time.  One 504 at a time.  One tweet and post at a time.  One Mylan Summit at at time.

Stay tuned for a new post outlining the nitty gritty of the topics covered, who was there, and what we talked about.
